I've finally done this. I've started a blog. This is something I have resisted for years. Maybe a fear of writing every week... and no-one is reading! And not knowing what to write about. So that is where I need YOU!!!! If you like an article or post.... please leave a comment, or press the Facebook "like" link, or somehow let me know you're out there reading this. And.... I need suggestions for things to write about. So don't hesitate to give me some ideas for topics. I will really appreciate it.
Now... what do I write on the inaugural post?? How about an introduction.
My name is Jodie. In 6 weeks time I'll be turning 44 years old. I have been a beauty therapist since 1995, and most of the time since then I owned a number of beauty salons/day spa's in Melbourne. In 2006 I had my first child (Shaun). In 2007 I had my 2nd child (Shelli). It was at this time that I decided to sell my salon. Taking care of two babies, and traveling into the salon was too difficult. And having owned the salons for 12 years at that time... I was ready to move onto something new. And that's when this website really evolved. I had used and sold Ahava beauty products in the salon, and I loved them. So it was a great decision to sell the product online.... especially as there was no other authorized online stockist in Australia. I do not import the products, as that is handled by the Australian distributor. They do not retail the products - so we work well together. They wholesale the products to the salons and selected stores around Australia. And I retail the products via my website. This is particularly handy for people that can't make it to a salon.
A few months ago we introduced some more Israeli products. Anna Lotan and Fresh Look. I am very excited about this, as they have some awesome products in their range, some of which I'm using now. I plan to do a "product profile" regularly, so you can get to know the products and their benefits.
I tend to waffle on a bit when I write. So I will take this opportunity to finish now before I turn this into a book.
Please... I would love your feedback and suggestions.... so when you read the upcoming posts... don't forget to leave me a little comment if you like it, or have some ideas and suggestions.
I hope you enjoy this blog.
And I hope that 2012 will be a fantastic year for you.
ps: forgot to mention.... 9 months ago I had my 3rd child (Shani).
